DENTAL X-RAY , ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DIAGNOSTIC TOOL FOR DENTIST

Dentist use radiographs especially for diagnosis of underlying dental problems like cavities, bone loss, along with it it’s also helpful to understand the status of developing tooth.

Basically, dentist use two types of radiographs:

·       Conventional radiographs

·       Digital radiographs

Conventional radiographs:

There is the use of films to capture the images of the oral cavity. The films later on undergo chemical processing to get the final Image which is manually preserved.

Digital radiographs:

In this there is the use of thin flat phosphorus sensor that runs through computer instead of x ray film to reproduce/replicate an image with very minimal radiation.

Why digital radiographs are preferred over conventional radiographs:

1.     The amount of radiation produced is less compared to conventional radiographs.

2.     There is 70% less exposure to radiation than conventional x rays.

3.     Digital radiographs produce larger images which is better appreciated by doctor and patients.

4.     Digital radiography is environmentally friendly.

5.     Digital x rays offers256 shades of grey versus 16-25 shades in conventional radiographs.

6.     Contrast and brightness can be changed in digital image which is nearly impossible in conventional x-ray.

7.     Since digital X-rays are computer driven multiple images can be stored in computer.

8.     Compared to conventional x-rays the digital x-ray film can be immediately processed and is available to view.

9.     The digital copy of the X-ray is easy to store & access for the patient as well as doctor

10.  The digital images do not lose its quality over time & can be retrieved whenever required.

In smile ever dental clinic, we have advanced dental imaging equipment that has the capability to produce the precise and efficient intraoral x ray images.

It has perfect accuracy and also protects patients with minimal radiation and short exposure time.

Digital dental X-ray at our clinic is compliant with current guidelines and standards for digital compatibility with AERB Certification.

BE SMART—LOOK YOUNG WITH HEALTHY TEETH

Dear friends ,

You must have observed, that some people appear older to their age compared to their peers of same age. Have you ever wondered why?

One of the main reason for this is “loss  of teeth”,

Screenshot 2020-10-07 at 2.29.55 PM.png

It’s not only  about the front teeth , when you lose the back  teeth like molars even that affects your appearance. Although the molars are not directly visible, yet they support to cheek muscles and when these teeth are lost the facial skin will sag because of the loss of teeth.

Many of us think loosing one or two back teeth is okay as it cannot be seen. However, it gives not only older look , but also functional problem like chewing affecting the digestion and other systemic conditions. If tooth is damaged beyond the repairable stage it needs to be replaced after removal  to avoid further consequences.

Only third molars [wisdom teeth] doesn’t need replacement, because they will be there in bony structures partially or completely, and it doesn’t play important role in facial support.

It is the fact that elderly people who lose their teeth because of many reasons , looks 10 yrs. younger after getting their teeth replaced.

Hence I always believe ,

“Prevention is always better than cure, each one of your tooth is precious and  take care of them”

 Thank you

My transformation from being ignorant of my dental health to care taker of my teeth.

“ Ignoring the dental problem is one of the biggest mistakes that everyone of us should refrain from.”

I had a gum problem that gradually spread to the roots of the teeth and impacted my teeth to an extent that my tooth started shaking.  The biggest mistake I made when it came to my dental health was, I ignored my dental issues for long. I guess most of us make this mistake of ignoring dental health, we ignore the early signs of tooth sensitivity, bleeding gums, bad breath issues to the point when you have no option but to lose your teeth. Luckily, I had Smile ever dental clinic to my rescue.

I gradually started experiencing shaking teeth,  when I visited  smile ever dental clinic, they completely took care of me. They not only explained the problem, but the treatment process was very smooth. But their approach was very compassionate and empathetic. And that’s what  makes Smile ever dental clinic special to me.

It feels safe and secure to me. Whenever I visit a dental clinic not only for me or for my family, I’m assured that me and my family are in safe hands.

With the advice of Dr Aruna and her team, I’m following the steps that ensure that I take care of my teeth. I’m going for my regular visits and now I’m ensuring that I don’t delay in any of the dental concerns.

The only message that I’d like to give to the readers of this blog is, NEVER EVER IGNORE THE EARLY SIGN OF THE DENTAL ISSUE, and make sure to connect to your dentist as soon as possible. If you are based out of Sarjapura, I’d recommend Smile ever dental clinic to you because it is indeed one of the best dental clinics that I’ve come across in Bangalore and is a primary health care service provider for your family.
